Dancing

At our milongas we play mainly traditional Music. The music is arranged in tandas that are sympathetic to each other in style. We use cortinas, but depending on the number of dancers our cortinas are generally a short marked silence as we want tandas to flow and work with each other and we feel that if you are enjoying dancing with each other why should you be forced to stop after just one tanda if you don't want to.

Stepping out milonga

Tango Cheshire hosts a regular Stepping out milonga, which is normally on the first Thursday of each month, and this replaces our second class. Our Basic Technique class from 7:15pm to 8:15pm runs as normal. If you are new to dancing social Argentine Tango this is the perfect place to grow your confidence. If you are an experienced dancer come and enjoy good company and start the wind down to the weekend.

Afternoon Tea Dances

Tango Cheshire hosts frequent afternoon Tea Dances.

Our next afternoon tea dance is on Sunday 3rd November 2024. Join us in Prestbury for an afternoon of beautiful dancing. Meet old friends and make new friends with Tango Cheshire in our warm, relaxed, and friendly atmosphere.

Prestbury Village Hall has a wonderful sprung wooden floor for dancing on. Plenty of free on site parking is available, and if traveling by train is just 8 minutes walk from Prestbury railway station.
